Lebanese National Detained in Germany Over Suspected Hamas Plot

German authorities have detained a Lebanese national in connection with suspected Hamas membership and alleged attack planning in Europe.

The individual, identified as Mohammad S, was apprehended at Berlin's Brandenburg Airport after arriving from Beirut on Friday evening.

Federal prosecutors stated that Mohammad S allegedly assisted in procuring 300 rounds of ammunition in August 2025 and was involved in a suspected plot targeting Jewish and Israeli institutions.

Mohammad S is scheduled to appear before a federal judge for a decision regarding pretrial detention.
