Frohloff Family Sells Limousin Stud, Expands Paddock-to-Plate Ventures
YARRAMAN, QLD – After two decades of operation, Bradley and Jodie Frohloff are selling their purebred Limousin cattle stud, located near Yarraman, southern Queensland. The sale will encompass all stud females and bulls.
A New Direction for the Frohloffs
The decision to sell was prompted by their three daughters' disinterest in pursuing cattle breeding, allowing the couple to concentrate on other business interests.
Their eldest daughter, Isabelle, stated that while she respects the work involved, the cattle breeding aspect was not her interest.
Expanding Business Horizons
Despite the stud sale, the Frohloffs are not retiring. They will continue to keep some crossbred cattle for beef production and maintain their existing butcher shop. Further expanding their ventures, they have also opened a new restaurant designed to showcase their own high-quality beef.
Next Generation Embraces Paddock-to-Plate
Family members are deeply involved in these expanded operations. Isabelle and her partner have invested in both the butcher shop and the restaurant, committing to a comprehensive paddock-to-plate business model. Their youngest daughter, Jessica, is now managing the dedicated beef herd that supplies both establishments. The family places a strong emphasis on animal welfare in their processing methods, a key factor in maintaining their meat quality.
