After moving to the U.S., he completed an MBA program at Stanford in 2005, accumulating $100,000 in student debt. He declined a six-figure job offer from McKinsey to pursue entrepreneurship.
Trulia's Success and Debt Repayment
In 2008, Inkinen, a co-founder of Trulia, sold secondary shares for $500,000 before taxes. This transaction enabled him to pay off his student loans and make purchases. Trulia was later acquired by Zillow for $3.5 billion in 2015.
Current Ventures and Philosophy on Wealth
Currently, Inkinen leads Virta Health, a $2 billion healthcare company. He reflected that the satisfaction of achieving financial security through debt repayment was brief. He noted that the feeling of money bringing happiness disappeared within a few days.
