YouTube Music has implemented a new feature that synchronizes the playback queue across all signed-in devices. This update allows users to seamlessly continue listening sessions between different platforms.
This update allows users to seamlessly continue listening sessions between different platforms.
Previously, the Now Playing queue on Android and iOS applications operated independently. The web version, music.youtube.com, could access mobile queues but synchronization was not universal.
With this change, users will now see the last played song from any device in the miniplayer when opening the mobile applications. The artist information will temporarily display the source device (e.g., "From your iPhone" or "From your browser") until playback begins.
The system keeps queues synchronized, with YouTube Music prioritizing the most recent play session from any device to update or override existing queues.
