Two Dead, One Critical After River Incident on NSW Mid North Coast
Two individuals have died and a third is in serious condition following an incident involving swimmers in a river on the NSW Mid North Coast.
Emergency services were dispatched to John Locke Place in Gleniffer, approximately nine kilometers north of Bellingen, at 6:45 PM yesterday. Reports indicated multiple people were in distress in the Never Never River.
A woman and two men, all aged in their 30s, were found in the water. The two men were recovered from the river but could not be revived.
The woman was also rescued and received immediate treatment at the scene before being transported to Coffs Harbour Health Campus in serious condition.
A crime scene has been established at the location.
