Following the game, the Volunteers' social media team posted the final score graphic. This graphic notably included a tag for the Delaware Blue Coats, a G-League team.

This tag was a reference to Alabama center Charles Bediako.

Bediako had recently been ruled eligible to return to the Crimson Tide after playing professional basketball and being out of college for nearly three years. The team he previously played for was the Delaware Blue Coats.

The Blue Coats' social media account also responded to the interaction.

It should also be noted that Alabama played the game without two of its starters.
