Billie Eilish and James Cameron's New 3D Concert Film Gets a Release Date

A new 3D concert film co-directed by Billie Eilish and James Cameron, titled Billie Eilish — Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour (Live in 3D), premiered on Wednesday at the Fox Westwood Village Theater in Los Angeles. The film is a Paramount production.

Production and Content

The film features footage captured during Eilish's sold-out four-night performance in Manchester, UK, in July 2024. The project was co-directed by Eilish and Cameron. Attendees at the Los Angeles premiere included Eilish, Cameron, Eilish's brother and collaborator Finneas O'Connell, and her boyfriend Nat Wolff.

Release Date

The film is scheduled to debut in theaters on May 8, 2025. This date represents an adjustment from an initial schedule of March 20, 2025. James Cameron stated that the delay was intended to allow for further refinement of the film's edit, optimization of 3D technology, and the addition of behind-the-scenes elements. The new release date will place the film opposite Mortal Kombat II.

Eilish first announced the collaboration with Cameron during her sold-out Co-op Live show in Manchester on July 19, 2025. Eilish’s third studio album, also titled Hit Me Hard And Soft, was nominated for Grammys in 2025.
