Nintendo Announces Virtual Boy Classics Collection, Featuring Unreleased Titles
Nintendo has announced the upcoming launch of Virtual Boy Nintendo Classics, a new collection set to feature iconic games alongside two previously unreleased titles from the system's archives.
Introducing Previously Unreleased Games
Among the most anticipated additions to the collection are two never-before-seen games. Players will finally get to experience Zero Racers, an F-Zero title originally slated for 1996 that was completed but never released. Also making its debut is D-HOPPER, which will be playable for the first time outside of its limited appearances at trade shows over three decades ago.

Release Waves and Visual Enhancements
The game lineup will be released in two distinct waves. An initial launch will introduce a selection of classic titles, followed by additional games at a later date. This second wave will include the highly anticipated previously unreleased titles.
A future update is also planned to enhance the visual experience, introducing the ability to change the games' color palette. Players will be able to select options such as greyscale and green, offering alternatives to the original red-and-black display that characterized the Virtual Boy.
Launch Date, Compatibility, and Accessories
Virtual Boy Nintendo Classics are scheduled to launch on February 17. The collection will be compatible with both the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. To experience the games, players will need either the $139 AUD Virtual Boy accessory or a more accessible $29.95 AUD cardboard version.
