An incident at a demolition derby in Walcha, New South Wales, Australia, resulted in injuries to nine individuals on Saturday night.
The event, which was part of the annual Walcha Motorcycle Rally, involved a car participating in a race. During the competition, a vehicle drove through a fence barrier and subsequently collided with the grandstand area where spectators were located.
New South Wales police reported that the ages of the injured bystanders ranged from 20 to 75 years. One individual, a 54-year-old man, sustained critical injuries as a result of the collision.
Authorities have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
