Infant Critical After Gold Coast Collision

An infant is in critical condition following a collision on the Gold Coast yesterday afternoon. The incident occurred around 5:55 PM on River Run Court, near Oakover Avenue, in Ormeau Hills.

Police reported that a Toyota Corolla struck a pedestrian and a pram. A 60-year-old woman from Ormeau Hills, identified as the pedestrian, and the infant were both transported to Gold Coast University Hospital.

The infant remains in critical but stable condition, while the woman is in stable condition.

The 26-year-old driver from Ormeau Hills remained at the scene following the incident and is cooperating with police. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
