Google Extends Pixel Tablet Software Support Through June 2028
Google has officially extended the Android OS and security update support for its Pixel Tablet.
Previously, Android OS updates for the Pixel Tablet were scheduled to conclude in June 2026. Google has now updated its support page to indicate that both Android OS and security updates will continue through June 2028.
Both Android OS and security updates for the Pixel Tablet will now continue through June 2028.
This extension aligns the Pixel Tablet's support policy with other Pixel devices, providing five years of both OS and security updates from its initial availability.

Google's current policies for Pixel device updates are structured as follows:
- 7 years of Android OS & security updates: Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 8a, Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, Pixel 9 Pro Fold, Pixel 9a, Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
- 5 years of Android OS & security updates: Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 7a, Pixel Fold, Pixel Tablet.
