Previously, small towns across France featured numerous traditional dining venues. Current observations indicate a shift, with many of these locations now primarily offering bakeries, pizza establishments, or doner kebab outlets.

An example includes L'Ange Vin, a restaurant near Angers in western France, which has experienced a significant reduction in customer traffic over the past year.
