Robert Saleh Officially Named Head Coach of Tennessee Titans
Robert Saleh has been formally introduced as the new head coach for the Tennessee Titans. This marks his second head coaching position in the NFL, following his tenure with the New York Jets where he accumulated a 20-36 record over three-plus seasons before his dismissal in early 2024.
During his introductory press conference on Thursday, Saleh reiterated his coaching philosophy, emphasizing:
"Fast, violent football," and his motto "all gas, no brakes."
He also addressed his previous experience, stating that his time as a head coach with the Jets led to significant personal and professional growth, making him more prepared for his current role.
A notable change from his previous position is that Saleh will assume defensive play-calling responsibilities for the Titans. The organization also expects marked quarterback development under Saleh's leadership, a contrast to the outcomes observed with Zach Wilson during his time with the Jets.
