Barbecue Explosion Hospitalizes Four in Lake Conjola

Four individuals, including two children, were hospitalized following a barbecue explosion on the NSW south coast.

Emergency services responded to the incident in Lake Conjola at 7:30 am today. Paramedics assessed five people at the scene following the explosion.

Casualties Identified

A man in his 30s sustained facial injuries and was airlifted to Wollongong Hospital in stable condition.

A woman, also in her 30s, suffered abdominal injuries and was transported to hospital in stable condition.

Two children, both under the age of five, received minor injuries. They were taken to Nowra Hospital in stable conditions.

The fifth person involved did not require hospitalisation.
