Nadal indicated he did not focus on past career achievements during his visit to the tournament.

Commenting on his past professional life, Nadal offered insight into his current state of mind.
“That part of my life is over. Of course it’s forever going to be in my heart.”
He further described his current mindset as “completely different,” “much more relaxed,” and devoid of “pressure at all.” Nadal expressed anticipation for watching the final.
“It’s going to be a pleasure to watch the final [in person]. I haven’t been in a professional match for a while. I just want to enjoy another great battle and a great level of tennis.”
