Jack Gibson-Burrell Pleads Not Guilty to 209 Charges, Including $700,000 "Pam the Bird" Graffiti Damage
Jack Gibson-Burrell, 22, has pleaded not guilty to 209 charges, including allegations of causing approximately $700,000 in damage through "Pam the Bird" graffiti across Melbourne and Geelong. The case has been fast-tracked to the County Court, where a directions hearing is scheduled for March 3.

Court Proceedings
During an appearance at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court, Mr. Gibson-Burrell entered a plea of not guilty to all 209 charges.
His defense lawyer, Micky Milardovic, stated that his client would not be testing the evidence in a preliminary hearing and would proceed directly to a trial in the County Court.
Magistrate Michelle Mykytowycz determined that sufficient evidence existed for the case to proceed to a jury trial in a higher court.
Allegations and Charges
Mr. Gibson-Burrell faces a total of 209 charges. These include:
- Over a dozen counts of reckless conduct endangering life or serious injury
- Criminal damage
- Public nuisance
- Theft
- Burglary
- Aggravated burglary
- Intentionally causing injury
The allegations primarily center on the "Pam the Bird" graffiti, which police allege Mr. Gibson-Burrell is solely responsible for. Properties allegedly defaced include:
- Trams
- The Novotel Melbourne South Wharf hotel
- The Channel Nine building in Docklands
- A CityLink column
- Flinders Street Station, including allegations of trespassing and abseiling its clock tower in July 2024
- Other heritage-listed Victorian landmarks
Further serious allegations include:
- The alleged theft of a car from Victoria’s Surf Coast in December 2024, which was then reportedly used to ram the front doors of a Nando’s outlet in Footscray. Messages, including "we don’t accept cash here," were spray-painted on the vehicle.
- Allegedly stabbing a man with a kitchen knife in West Footscray.
- An earlier alleged unprovoked attack on an Emporium store worker in Melbourne.
- Stopping a train and encouraging two children to enter train tracks.
- Climbing the disused Melbourne Star ferris wheel.
Bail Conditions
Mr. Gibson-Burrell remains on bail under specific conditions, which include:
- A $30,000 surety
- Regular reporting to police
- A ban on leaving Victoria or undertaking interstate/overseas travel
- Prohibition from contacting witnesses or associating with co-accused
- A nightly curfew at his Geelong address
- A ban on possessing abseiling or graffiti-related equipment
- Restriction to a single mobile phone, which he must unlock upon police request
