Within three days of its release, Cairn surpassed 200,000 copies sold on PC (via Steam, GOG, and Epic) and PlayStation 5. This sales milestone was officially announced by the studio on February 1.

Indie Impact and Market Performance

This sales achievement is considered significant for an indie game, given its niche genre and a marketing approach described as restrained. Steam data indicates Cairn reached the 9th position in Global Top Sellers and the 4th position in Wishlist Activity. The game recorded a peak of nearly 15,000 concurrent players during its launch weekend.

Future Platform Expansion Expected

As of the reporting date, there has been no confirmation of versions for Xbox or Nintendo Switch 2. However, future platform expansion for Cairn is expected.
