Zelenskyy Directs Action Amid Rising Logistics Strikes
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has directed the country's military leadership to address an increase in Russian attacks targeting Ukraine's logistics infrastructure.
These strikes have primarily focused on railway facilities in regions such as Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia.
In a social media statement on Monday, President Zelenskyy reported that there had been no new targeted strikes on Ukraine's energy infrastructure in the previous 24 hours. This statement followed earlier comments from US President Donald Trump regarding a reported agreement by Russia not to target energy facilities during a cold snap.
Despite the absence of new strikes on energy facilities, attacks continued against other infrastructure, specifically the railway system.
Consequently, Ukrzaliznytsia, Ukraine's state rail operator, advised passengers in eastern regions to use buses, citing an increased risk to rail routes.
