During a meeting with Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping in Beijing, President Orsi and President Xi signed twelve cooperation agreements. These agreements span various critical sectors, including science, technology, and trade, signaling an enhanced comprehensive strategic partnership.
President Orsi communicated via social media that Uruguay is pursuing active international engagement to strengthen long-term ties and foster new opportunities for national development.
According to a Chinese readout, President Xi discussed with President Orsi the importance of promoting a multipolar world and inclusive economic globalization. Both leaders emphasized working together for common development as they enhance their comprehensive strategic partnership.

President Orsi's seven-day trip, which commenced on a Sunday, included a substantial 150-person delegation. This delegation comprised a mix of prominent business leaders and key government officials. Following their engagements in Beijing, the delegation was scheduled to visit Shanghai next.
