Tino Fa'asuamaleaui has signed a contract extension with the Gold Coast Titans, firmly committing to the club until the end of the 2030 season. This significant announcement concludes several months of intense speculation surrounding his future, which was fuelled by specific clauses in his existing 10-year contract that could have allowed him to become a free agent.

Multiple clubs, including the Bears and Storm, had reportedly expressed considerable interest in recruiting the star forward. Ultimately, it was Titans coach Josh Hannay who proved instrumental in Fa'asuamaleaui's decision to remain with the Gold Coast club.

Coach Josh Hannay conveyed his satisfaction with Fa'asuamaleaui's renewed commitment. Hannay highlighted that Fa'asuamaleaui consistently expressed his dedication to the Titans, his teammates, the community, and his unwavering desire for the club's success.

Discussions also focused on developing a football program and an environment that players would genuinely be proud of. In October, Fa'asuamaleaui had previously indicated he would explore options on the open market. At the time, he cited a desire for improvement and a winning culture at the Titans, expressing his wish to see the club move in a positive direction and emphasizing the short nature of an NRL career.
