The center is staffed by US and Israeli soldiers, military representatives from more than 20 other nations, diplomats, and aid workers. Its function is to monitor the Gaza ceasefire, which has been active for approximately six weeks.
Objectives
The US-led CMCC is tasked with managing the subsequent stages of President Donald Trump's Gaza peace plan. This includes overseeing the entry of humanitarian supplies and coordinating plans for reconstruction.
Representation
There is no formal Palestinian representation at the center, a circumstance that has prompted criticism.
