2023 Season: A Learning Curve Amidst Injuries
Rachele's 2023 season as a half-forward was significantly impacted by injuries. He sustained a broken rib injury in Round 3 and later a posterior capsular tear in his knee during Round 17, forcing him to miss a considerable portion of the season. He eventually made a return as a substitute in the semi-final loss to Hawthorn.
Despite the setbacks, Rachele viewed the experience as valuable.
Rachele noted that the 10-12 games he played without being subbed off represented his most consistent football to date and provided a learning experience.

Indicating a significant shift from his previous primary forward role, Rachele has spent the majority of the current pre-season training with the midfield group. He is aiming for a balanced approach on the field.
He aims for a 50-50 split between midfield and forward positions.

This transition has been partly influenced by Dan Curtin's early absence due to injury.
