Morning Preparations
On survey days, women begin by waking early and completing household chores. They then gather at a designated base camp.
Journey to Camera Sites
From the base camp, participants travel by vehicle to the furthest point accessible by terrain. Following this, they trek several kilometers to reach camera sites.
High-Altitude Environment
These camera sites are frequently located at altitudes exceeding 14,000 feet (4,300 meters).
Movement at these high altitudes is described as exhausting due to the thin air.
