Astronaut Zena Cardman Documents Aurora Borealis
On November 17, astronaut Zena Cardman recorded images of the Northern Lights, also known as the aurora borealis, from her position aboard the International Space Station (ISS).
Cardman observed the phenomenon from orbit, stating, "I've still never seen the aurora from below, but up here, it's a frequent show."
She currently serves as commander for Nasa's SpaceX Crew-11 mission, which commenced on August 1. This information has been released by Nasa.
Cardman has encouraged individuals viewing the recorded footage to identify the geographical locations of Houston and Florida within the imagery.
