Serious Injuries After Piangil Incident Involving Vehicle and Stabbing
Police were called to reports of a dispute in Piangil, Victoria, near Swan Hill, at approximately 9 PM on Monday night. The initial report indicated that items were being set on fire and thrown over a fence outside a property.
Incident Details Emerge
Authorities allege that a man subsequently entered a white 4WD, deliberately drove into another man, and then crashed into a property wall, trapping the man under the vehicle.
Following these events, the individual allegedly exited the 4WD and stabbed a woman.
The individual abandoned the 4WD at the scene and fled in a separate vehicle. A 52-year-old man from Piangil later presented himself at a police station and was taken into custody. He is scheduled to be interviewed by detectives from the Swan Hill Crime Investigation Unit.
Victims Hospitalised
The 61-year-old Piangil man, who was trapped under the 4WD, was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. The 47-year-old woman, also from Piangil, was flown to the hospital in a serious condition. Police have indicated that the individuals involved in the incident were known to each other.
