View source

Nothing has announced two new smartphone models, the Phone (4a) and Phone (4b), with scheduled launch events on March 5, 2026, and July 7, 2026, respectively.

The company has confirmed that the Phone (4a) series will be powered by Qualcomm processors. The Phone (4b) will not be available in North America, including the United States. Nothing CEO Carl Pei has confirmed that a flagship Phone 4 will not be released in 2026.

Phone (4a) and (4a) Pro

Design

The Phone (4a) features a redesigned rear panel. The camera module is a horizontal, pill-shaped unit positioned closer to the top of the device. The module has a frosted metallic appearance and houses a triple-camera setup. To the right of the camera, a new Glyph Bar lighting system has been introduced.

The Glyph Bar replaces the curved LED strips found on previous A-series models. It is composed of seven square lights, powered by nine individually controllable mini-LEDs. Nothing states the lights are 40 percent brighter than those on previous A-series devices and utilize patented technology.

The lower rear panel has been streamlined. The device retains a semi-transparent back and a dedicated Essential Key on the side. Button placement has been shifted higher on the frame.

Nothing has confirmed that both the Phone (4a) and (4a) Pro will be powered by Qualcomm system-on-chips (SoCs).

Phone (4b)

Design

The Phone (4b) features a unibody build similar to the Pro model of the Phone (4a) series. It includes a clear camera bump and a Glyph Bar lighting element. Nothing has not confirmed the material of the unibody. The phone has been shown in a blue color that matches the Nothing Ear (open) earbuds.
