Social network Bluesky has initiated the rollout of a drafts feature, a capability frequently requested by its users.
This functionality is already available on competing platforms such as X and Threads, where it is considered a standard feature for social media services.
Users can access the drafts feature on Bluesky by navigating to the new post flow and selecting the 'Drafts' button located in the top-right corner.
The introduction of drafts aligns with Bluesky's recently announced roadmap for the upcoming year. The company's plans include enhancing the app's algorithmic Discover feed, providing improved recommendations for user connections, and making the application feel more real-time. The company also acknowledged the ongoing need to develop fundamental features.
Despite having established a dedicated user base, Bluesky continues to trail its competitors in offering basic features, including private accounts and support for extended video content.
Bluesky, which became publicly available in early 2024, has reached a user base exceeding 42 million, according to data obtained from the Bluesky API.
