Recent Incidents and Statements

Social Media Video Post and Deletion

Last Thursday night, a video clip was posted on Mr. Trump's social media account. This clip was described by some as portraying former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama as apes. The video was subsequently deleted.

Following its removal, Mr. Trump reportedly insisted he had nothing to apologize for and claimed he knew nothing about its posting.

Super Bowl Halftime Show Criticism

Mr. Trump also took to online platforms to comment on the Super Bowl Halftime Show.

"The Super Bowl Halftime Show is absolutely terrible, one of the worst, EVER!" he stated. He further commented, "Nobody understands a word this guy is saying, and the dancing is disgusting."

Remarks at the National Prayer Breakfast

During his speech at the National Prayer Breakfast on Thursday morning, Mr. Trump made several claims, focusing on past elections and his personal sentiment.

"They rigged the second election. I had to win it. I had to win it. I needed it for my own ego. I would’ve had a bad ego for the rest of my life. Now I really have a big ego, though."

He continued, reflecting on his political victories: "Beating these lunatics was incredible, right? What a great feeling, winning every swing state, winning the popular vote. The first time, you know, they said I didn’t win the popular vote. I did."
