"He is older, more jaded, and experienced a significant disillusionment event."

The live-action series Spider-Noir, starring Nicolas Cage, is scheduled to premiere in spring 2025 on MGM+ and Prime Video. The series is based on the Marvel comic Spider-Man Noir and follows an aging private investigator in 1930s New York who is forced to confront his past as a superhero.

Series Premise

The series follows Ben Reilly (portrayed by Nicolas Cage), a private investigator in 1930s New York who previously operated as the superhero known as "The Spider." Following a significant personal tragedy, Reilly is compelled to re-engage with his past heroic identity as the city's only superhero. The character is a clone of Peter Parker, making him distinct from the Peter Parker variants depicted in other media. According to producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the character is older, more jaded, and experienced a significant disillusionment event prior to the series' timeline.

The eight-episode series is scheduled to premiere in spring 2025. It will debut domestically on MGM+'s linear broadcast channel, followed by a global release on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories. The series will be available in both black-and-white and color viewing formats.
